Splatoon Raiders Loot & Power Egg Farming Guide

Where the good stuff actually comes from — Power Eggs, Spirhalite Shards, gadget parts, Salmonid Relics and Skill Points — and how to farm it without wasting runs.

Last updated July 2026

Every upgrade in Splatoon Raiders is gated by a different currency, and the fastest way to feel stronger is to know which activity feeds which track — instead of grinding one level over and over and wondering why your weapon is still weak. Here's the whole economy, then the actual farming routes.

The five things worth farming

ResourceWhat it's forBest source
Power EggsFuel the Exploration Bot; level up; unlock tank upgradesKilling Lesser Salmonids in bulk; picking eggs off the ground
Mega Power EggsBig Bot-fuel / progression lumps (= 100 Power Eggs each)Boss Salmonids — every one drops a Mega Power Egg
Spirhalite ShardsLevel weapons at Frye's Weapon StashMining Spirhalite crystal nodes; scrapping spare weapons
Gadget partsUpgrade gadgets in the Gadget WorkshopFound in almost every level — duplicates still count
Salmonid RelicsUnique combat abilities & gadgets (major power spikes)Seasoned Salmonids
The single highest-value habitAlways kill Boss Salmonids when you see them. One Mega Power Egg = 100 Power Eggs, so a single boss kill can be worth more than an entire level of Lesser Salmonid mopping-up. If a boss is optional and killable, kill it.

Rule zero: farm on the difficulty you clear fastest

This is the tip that saves the most time and the one people get wrong. The loot pool is identical on Tourist, Raider and Survivalist. Higher difficulty does not give better drops — it only makes enemies tankier. So for farming, drop to whatever difficulty lets you blitz a level safely. You're optimizing for kills-per-minute, not for bragging rights.

Power Egg farming route

  1. Find a horde-dense level. Re-run whichever early Relic or den level throws the most Lesser Salmonids at you — density beats level length.
  2. Upgrade an egg-collecting gadget. Some gadgets can be upgraded to auto-collect Power Eggs; combined with your Exploration Bot (which also vacuums eggs), you stop leaving currency on the floor.
  3. Kill every Boss Salmonid on the route. The Mega Power Egg dwarfs everything else. A route with a guaranteed boss beats a slightly faster route without one.
  4. Don't tunnel-vision. Grab the eggs on the way to objectives rather than doing dedicated egg laps — you'll bank a surprising amount just by not ignoring them.

Spirhalite Shard (weapon) farming

Shards are the weapon-upgrade currency, and they come mainly from mining Spirhalite crystal nodes during raids — your Bot can drill nodes for you, so don't run past them. You can also scrap weapons you'll never use at Frye's Weapon Stash for materials. Since weapon upgrade costs climb per level, funnel Shards into your one main (see the weapons tier list) rather than dabbling.

Don't skip Compasses (Skill Points)

In Relic and Crystal-mining levels, look for navy-blue crates — they hold Compasses, which unlock Sampler Dungeons. Those dungeons are set-loadout challenge rooms that hand out Skill Points, one of the most valuable late-game resources for powering up. Skill Points are easy to overlook early because you're drowning in eggs and parts, but they're what carries you through the late-game difficulty spikes. Every blue crate is a Skill Point you're leaving behind if you skip it.

Salmonid Relics: the power-spike farm

Seasoned Salmonids — the salt-crusted, beefed-up bosses like the Thick-Cut Salty Tongue and Minced Scrapper — can drop Salmonid Relics that grant unique combat abilities and gadgets. These are among the strongest upgrades in the game, so once you can reliably kill Seasoned Salmonids, prioritizing them is the highest-impact farming you can do. Bring your best boss loadout (see the build page) and hunt the salty ones.

Also worth grabbing: Briny ScrollsBriny Scrolls aren't a power resource — they unlock lore entries in Big Man's Hoard. Skip them if you're pure min-maxing, but they're cheap to grab in passing and the world-building is genuinely good.

Frequently asked questions

How do you farm Power Eggs fast?

Re-run horde-dense levels, always kill Boss Salmonids (Mega Power Egg = 100 eggs), and upgrade an egg-collecting gadget so your Bot vacuums the rest.

What is a Mega Power Egg worth?

100 regular Power Eggs. Boss Salmonids drop them, making boss hunting the most efficient egg farm.

How do I get Spirhalite Shards?

Mine Spirhalite crystal nodes during raids and scrap unused weapons at Frye's Weapon Stash. Spend them to level your main weapon.

Does higher difficulty give better loot?

No — the loot pool is identical across all difficulties. Farm on whatever you clear fastest and safest.

What are Compasses for?

They unlock Sampler Dungeons (found in navy-blue crates), which reward Skill Points for late-game power. Grab every one.

How do I get Salmonid Relics?

From Seasoned Salmonids. Bring your best boss loadout and prioritize the salt-crusted enemies for these power spikes.

Next: spend your loot wisely with the build guide, or take your farm squad into co-op to clear faster.
